Marantz has announced two new components, just in time for your holiday wishlist. There’s the MM8077 Power Amp and the AV8801 Preamp, and of course, both are designed to complement each other.

The 11.2-channel AV8801 AV Preamplifier/Processor (MSRP: $3,599.99) boasts a massive toroidal power, HDAM and High Current Feedback Technology, and a solid copper-plated chassis. It also has a bevy of other perks, including 192 kHz/32-bit DACs on all channels, a multi-DSP audio processor, 4K and 3D pass-through, support for Apple AirPlay, and decoding for Audyssey DSX and DTS Neo:X formats.

Other AV8801 features include MultEQ XT32 room equlization technology and Audyssey Sub EQ HT processing, as well as seven HDMI inputs, three HDMI outputs, unbalanced (RCA) and balanced (XLR) audio outputs, a dedicated stereo XLR input, a phono input and an HD Radio tuner. It also works with Marantz’s optional RX101 Bluetooth adapter.

The 7-channel MM8077 AV Power Amplifier (MSRP: $2,399.99) has a copper-plated chassis and a high-current toroidal power transformer, with high power (71WVDC) filter capacitors with a total 100,000µF capacitance to handle sharp short-term transient peaks. It also has a dual extruded aluminum alloy heat sink assembly for passive and active cooling. Other features include balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) inputs, a DC trigger input for external power on/off control, and dual RC-5 remote control in/out jacks.

Marantz says that both components are now shipping.
