The summer may be winding down, but Madison Fielding is trying to keep you in the great outdoors as long as possible. The company just announced an addition to its PlanterSpeakers line, known as the Sedona Series.

This is the company’s fourth and latest in the outdoor speaker line. It has a new floor-standing metal frame to give the product a footprint of just 14.5-by-13 inches. The enclosure is made of molded poly resin and has a smooth finish that incorporates a separate enclosed space in the base for the speaker, which fires downward.

Oh—and that speaker can crank out some nice sound, using a single 6.5-inch full-range Madison Fielding driver.

Other features include a planter section that can drain water, a removable planter pot, and speaker connections that are made via outdoor-rated, twin-lead cable tails.

“This is a decidedly more modern and more affordable design of an outdoor speaker—and one for which we expect very broad appeal,” said Art Powers, Madison Fielding’s president. “The Sedonas are great for decks, patios, poolside, and all the other places in-ground speakers can’t handle. They’re decorative, functional, durable, require no special installation, and they sound great.”

Available in black, mocha, weathered stone, willow and red, the Sedona speaker is selling now, with an MSRP of $599 each.
