If you’re looking around at a room full to switches, it could be time for a lighting upgrade. Lutron recently announced a new dimmer, the Skylark Contour. It’s now shipping in four different versions.

The Skylark Contour dimmer is an update to the Skylark, which was first introduced in 1983. Promising a new look and feel, the dimmer features a rocker switch for turning lights on and off, but can also accommodate a favorite preset lighting level.

The four versions include:

  • The Skylark Contour C·L preset dimmer, which is UL-listed for use with a broad range of dimmable CFLs and LEDs, incandescent and halogen bulbs, and a combination of those bulbs. ($30.60 each)
  • The Skylark Contour present dimmer works with incandescent and halogen bulbs. This one is available in single-pole ($22.80) and 3-way ($30.60).
  • Skylark Contour preset dimmer with eco-dim promises up to 15 percent energy savings, using incandescent and halogen bulbs. It also boasts three times the bulb life of a standard switch. ($30.60).
  • Skylark Contour preset dimmer with eco-minder also promises 15 percent energy savings, used incandescent and halogen bulbs. This model also has an LED that changes from red to green, to signify that savings. ($30.80)

All four models are available in white, ivory, almond, light almond, gray, brown and black. Find them now at Home Depot, electrical distributors and lighting showrooms.
