Klipsch Scores Naming Rights at 2 Venues
The speaker manufacturer is rocking a new partnership with Live Nation Entertainment.
Next time you get a tub of soda, you may see a familiar logo on that giant cup. No, we’re not talking about Coke—but you may see the mark of Klipsch on there, or elsewhere around the stadium.
Klipsch has announced a deal with Live Nation Entertainment that would give the speaker manufacturer naming rights to two U.S. venues.
“For us, as well as Live Nation, it is and will always be all about the music. Concerts attract individuals who share a passion that is very similar to Klipsch and the brand’s message,” said Paul Jacobs, CEO of Klipsch Group, Inc. “Our brand began with Paul W. Klipsch creating sound solutions that simulate the live-concert experience. This sponsorship gives us the opportunity to go back to our roots and honor a legacy that we continue to build on into the future.”
As part of the deal, Irving Plaza, New York City’s, 1,200-person ballroom-style music venue, will become Irving Plaza Powered by Klipsch. The club typically hosts about 150 events each year. Previous guests have included The Ramones, Bob Dylan, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Prince, LCD Soundsystem and Katy Perry. Upcoming shows include Echo and the Bunnymen, Los Lonely Boys, The Go-Go’s, and The 11th Annual Joey Ramone’s Birthday Bash.
If you’re headed further south, check out Miami’s Bayfront Park Amphitheater. However, make sure you look for it by its new name, the Klipsch Amphitheater at Bayfront Park. This is a larger venue, with room for 7,500 seats. Positioned right on the waterfront in the heart of downtown Miami, the venue has seen bands like Maroon 5, Robert Plant, and The Goo Goo Dolls in the past. This summer’s big event will be the “Ke$ha Presents the Get $leazy Tour.”
Klipsch will also sponsor New York City’s Lounge at the Gramercy and the VIP Club at The Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater. Part of their involvement will include an audio upgrade at both venues.
