The IN83 boasts the latest digital technology via the 1080p DLP DarkChip4 chipset from Texas Instruments.
If you want to Play Big, we encourage you to go home—to your theater. The latest in the InFocus Play Big projector line gives you a nice big 1080p image to look forward to when you get there.
The InFocus IN83 looks a lot like the IN82 because it’s basically the same shell. It’s what’s inside that has changed. The addition of Texas Instruments’ latest DLP DarkChip4 technology combined with BrilliantColor allows this unit to move a notch up the numeric scale.
Projecting a nice 2.35:1 Cinemascope/widescreen aspect ratio without the need for an external scaler, it easily hooks to any external video source.
HDMI 1.3 with Deep Color support makes more colors than the biggest crayon box on the planet—10.7 billion to be exact. Other features include a native 5,000:1 contrast ratio (with a maximum contrast of 15,000:1), 1,600 max ANSI lumens, and Pixelworks DNX 10-bit video processing.
The IN83 will be available this month for $5,999.
