UPDATE: It appears this deal has expired, but feel free to try the link in case SiriusXM brings it back.

We know how hard it is to bite the bullet on yet another pay service. That said, SiriusXM is really worth the monthly fee. Having the option to listen to programming that you actually like, sometimes commercial-free, and without all of that talk and radio static can be a real lifesaver. Once you get a taste of the service, it’s hard to imagine the workday, the daily commute, and those long road trips without it.

In fact, it can be downright addicting—which is probably what SiriusXM is hoping for with today’s Hot Deal. For a limited time, the satellite radio provider is offering free 1-year subscriptions. No credit card is needed and there’s no cancellation process. Instead, you just need an email address and the promo code CHEVY1YR. Once you sign up, SiriusXM will confirm the sub via email and provide a password that should get you one year of free access.

It’s important to know that this subscription is a tad bit restricted. You will have full access to the service’s 130 channels. However, it’s only available via the computer or the free SiriusXM app.

How awesome is that, though? The offer is good to new and existing subscribers—and if you already have a sub, you probably know it’s sort of annoying not to be able to access it online without ponying up an additional fee.

Based on the promo code, it looks like this offer is being made through Chevy. There’s no word how long SiriusXM will be taking new sign-ups, so you’d better secure your free subscription before they pull the deal! [Thanks to Woot for the tip!]
