Still think Google isn’t the greatest search engine ever? Well, talk to the hand, because the face is yapping into a Google phone—or at least it will be soon.
The Wall Street Journal says that the web giant will soon announce services and software that will allow manufacturers to make and market Google-powered phones by mid-2008.
The phones should include applications such as Gmail, Google Maps, Facebook-rival Makamaka, and YouTube. It’s also expected to have an open software plan, which will allow for plenty of other potential features.
Of course, no one at Google has a comment. Within the next two weeks we’re guessing they won’t be able to shut up about it.
