Energy has introduced a wide variety of speakers over the years. Surprisingly, the company never got into the outdoor arena. However, they are going to remedy that immediately, with the new Energy Take Classic I/O 4 and Energy Take Classic I/0 5.

These two options are Energy’s very first outdoor speakers. Designed to work both indoors and outdoors, these speakers have UV-treated cabinets, rust-resistant grilles, mounting brackets and five-way, gold-plated binding posts. Each one can also be painted to match just about any decor.

The Take Classic I/O 4 has a 0.5-inch tweeter and a 4-inch woofer, while the Take Classic I/O 5 bumps those measurements up to a 1-inch tweeter and a 4-inch woofer. Both models also have dual M6 threaded inserts for mounting.

“This product launch is very meaningful as we remain focused on developing high performance sound solutions capable of meeting any listening need that is relevant to any part of the home,” said Tommy Jacobs, director of customer development for Energy. “We look forward to entering this particular market with these exceptional products, and we are confident the experience will lend to future developments for the Energy brand.”

The Energy Take Classic I/O 4 and I/0 5 will ship soon with MSRPs of $99.99 and $149.99, respectively.
