If you’re going to name a product Dream’E, it should probably live up to its billing. The new 1080p Dream’E projector from French manufacturer DreamVision sounds like it delivers pretty dreamy high-def projection images indeed.

The Dream’E, distributed by Audio Plus Services and showing at CES 2009, serves up its 1920 x 1080p native resolution images with a 3-LCOS engine and enhanced by built-in HQV (Hollywood Quality Video) processing, so any resolution standard-def or high-def source you throw at it will look crystal clear.

Other features include:

  • Improved light engine for 15,000:1 contrast ratio
  • -60/+60% vertical lens shift
  • -30/+30% horizontal shift
  • 1.5x zoom
  • 1.75-2.53:1 throw ratio
  • Digital noise reduction
  • Mosquito noise reduction
  • Digital transition improvement
  • Detail enhancement
  • Automatic Film and Video mode detection
  • Color Management System for color calibration

If that’s not enough for you, of course you’re going to ask about the Cinemascope capabilities—for your super-wide screen theater install, there’s optional Wide System or 2.35 Theater System kits so you can switch from 16:9 (or 1.78:1) high-def to 2.35:1 and wider aspect ratios at the touch of a button.

While you’re showing off your super-big theater image, you can even show off this projector itself in its elegant high-gloss white or black chassis. MSRP on the Dream’E is $5,295.
