Were you psyched to catch “Chuck” in 3D after its Super Bowl hype, or maybe you like heading to the local IMAX theater for the latest animated 3D movie?

The 3D buzz clearly has been infecting Hollywood lately, and display manufacturers are doing there part to get home theaters ready as the trend blooms as well. Count Digital Projection International (DPI) among them, as the company has announced that 14 of its products will include active 3D capable displays.

The offerings include eight projectors in the Titan lineup, four Lightning models and two in the iVision family.

The iVision sx+3D comes with standard zoom and single-chip projection, with SXGA+ native resolution and Brilliant Color imaging. The Titan three-chip DLP models come in either SXGA+ (1400 x 1050) or 1080p native resolution, with dual or single lamp configurations, and also high-brightness or ultra-contrast configurations.

Titan and Lightning models also feature DPI’s FastFrame technology to reduce image noise and blur, and can include RapidRig (standard on Lightning, optional on Titan) flying and stacking frame that lets you make even more alignment and image adjustments.

DPI says the lineup covers the gamut from home entertainment to scientific to commercial and military applications, so check with an authorized dealer to see which model best suits your 3D needs.
