Dig SpeakerCraft’s On Ground Speakers

SpeakerCraft OG

Each SpeakerCraft OG includes a ground spike to install right in the dirt.

The speaker manufacturer is taking outdoor audio to (literally) another level.

We’ve seen in-wall, on-wall, outdoor, and now—on ground?

That’s SpeakerCraft’s new outdoor speaker line, better known as OG to you and me. It’s not this OG, either. It’s more like a tent stake, with a little head on top that looks like a floodlight. Instead of illuminating a walkway, though, these units can project sound from a flowerbed, planter, shrubs, or any other outdoor area.

Each unit has its own ground spike. Push it into the dirt and boom, you’re done. It’s perfect for areas where a big outdoor install isn’t necessary. The diecast aluminum enclosure includes a 3-inch full-range aluminum cone driver.

“It was a natural step to build an outdoor speaker that mimics an exterior lighting fixture,” says Jeff Francisco, SpeakerCraft’s VP of product development. “The look of the fixture is so universally accepted that most people won’t even notice them.”

We’re not quite sure where or how the wires run, but since you’ll need to call an installer to get the OG, we’re guessing it won’t be an obstacle, either.
