The ShareCenter DNS-320 and DNS-325 promise easy expansion, as well as local and remote access.

D-Link wants to make sure you are backing up all of your important files and digital media. You do that now, don’t you? We won’t preach too much. However, if it’s not something that you are currently doing (shame!), you may want to take a look at one of D-Link’s new ShareCenter 2-Bay Network Storage devices.

The DNS-320 and DNS-325 (pictured) can host two SATA HD bays for 3.5-inch drives of either 1TB or 2TB capacities. That should be plenty of room for videos, photos, music, and much more. Hook up a network camera, and the drive can also act as a DVR, catching and playing back video from in and around your home.

Having a NAS isn’t just a safety issue; it also makes it much easier to store and snag files—and you don’t even have to be directly connected to the network. A built-in web file server app and FTP server allows users to get those files even while on the go, over the web.

Each NAS drive has Farstone’s Total Recovery Pro Backup software, which makes it easy (and automatic) to back up from anywhere on the network. Besides the back-up and RAID support, both devices also have a USB port for printer sharing, an integrated Peer-to-Peer Downloader, and DNLA support.

The big difference is that the DNS-320 has an internal 800MHz processor, while the DNS-325 increases the speeds to 1.2GHz. The DNS-325 also has photo gallery, audio streaming and blogging applications, as well as support for add-ons as they are developed.

Of course, another main difference is the price. The DNS-320 is selling for $109.99, with the DNS-325 coming in at $199.99. Both are available now. In May, D-Link will launch both units pre-configured with a 1TB disk drive. That will increase prices to $199.99 and $279.99, respectively.
