The LS4T, LS6T and IGS82T will work in a variety of outdoor installations.
The weather is starting to turn, but Crestron is giving us a few good reasons to brave those colder elements. The company just announced three new additions to its AIR line of outdoor speakers.
Each one of these new options boasts a weatherized construction, high power handling, and an extended frequency response.
First up is the LS4T, a 2-way outdoor speaker with 4-inch coaxial drivers. Sold in pairs, the LS4T has a built-in 70/100-volt transformer and 8 ohms nominal impedance. Designed to blend into any surroundings, Crestron is also making this speaker available with the option for stake or surface mounting. The LS6T is pretty much the same, but bumps those drivers up to 6.5 inches.
If you want to get the party (and the ground) shaking, Crestron also just introduced the IGS82T in-ground subwoofer. This model also has a built-in 70/100-volt transformer and 8 ohms nominal impedance. However, it packs two 8-inch low-frequency drivers underground and covers them neatly with a textured portal cap. Other features include 200 watts of power handling and a 22 to 120Hz frequency range.
“These discreet weatherized speakers blend in wherever you put them, while providing sound quality rivaling any great indoor speaker,” said Dennis Fink, Crestron’s technology manager for audio products. “The new AIR Landscape speakers complement the Crestron Sonnex multiroom audio distribution system, providing audiophile-quality sound throughout the property.”
All of Crestron’s new AIR speakers come equipped with 18-inch stakes for planting sound safely into the ground. Once everything is installed, you can position the speakers to your liking.
Contact your local Crestron dealer for more information on the AIR lineup, as well as pricing.
