Need another way to connect—or not? Cables Unlimited just announced the Wireless USB Adapter Set to connect your USB peripherals from afar.

Each package includes two dongles: one goes into your computer, with the other designated for your USB device. Once connected, you can wander up to 30 feet away, meaning you can tap into camcorders, cameras, and other USB devices from another room or another part of the house. No more crowding around your main computer station—or being tethered to it either.

The set features Wisair’s single wireless chip, which makes wireless USB happen.

“We chose Wisair’s Wireless USB technology as the basis of our offering due to its superior wireless coverage and low cost,” says Ben Hunter, Cables Unlimited CEO. “We will soon expand our offering to include single device adapters sold separately, so consumers can wirelessly connect additional USB peripherals to the same PC.”

XP or Vista users can start reaping the benefits of the Wireless USB Adapter Set immediately. The kit is available at all of the major online retailers (think Amazon, Buy.com, etc.); a pair will cost you about $79 to $99.
