The EH editors pick 18 of their favorite stocking stuffers for 2007. The question is, have they been good or bad.

Here’s our big, fat, very merry wish list, wrapped up just for you by the Electronic House editorial staff.

We have a present for you. Actually, it consists of our presents—or more accurately, the electronic presents we’d like to receive. We thought we’d present you with our personal wish lists of electronic goodies, selected from among the many high-tech toys we see every year.

And no, this isn’t the Narcissist’s Gift Guide. We tried to choose a mix of practical and timely gift ideas that are truly representative of the cutting edge in today’s home technology. (Okay, okay: We just picked stuff we really liked.)

We’re pretty sure you and your loved ones will like these gifts, too. For example, fun-loving product editor Rachel Cericola yearns for real video game action and TV anywhere. Managing editor Arlen Schweiger is sizing up an affordable 1080p LCD TV and a robot to play tricks on. And columnist Rebecca Day is looking to downsize her life by upgrading her electronics.

Senior editor and mother of two Lisa Montgomery sees the big picture—and plans for it. She perhaps speaks for us all when she lists a wireless flat screen, a cool motorized wall mount for it and a high-definition DVD player. Our other senior editor, Steve Castle, has been writing our Green Tech blog, so he claims a “practical” approach. (And practical is the key word, since he’s asking for the stuff he can’t afford to buy himself.) Meanwhile, editor and publisher Cindy Davis shoved us all out the way just to list her dream gifts. Heaven knows what would happen if one of us actually showed up in possession of one of her objects of desire. She might really deck the halls—or deck us all.
