Bang & Olufsen Shipping BeoSound 6

Bang & Olufsen BeoSound 6

The unit has a stainless steel frame surrounding the black soft-touch lacquered surface and a black scratch-resistant glass display.

The Danish sound stylists are promising a lot of portable bang, but you'll have to shell out a lot of bucks to experience it.

It’s hard thinking of good gifts for the holidays—unless you’ve got cash for Bang & Olufsen’s BeoSound 6. This new MP3 player looks good, sounds good and says “I care about your entertainment value.”

The BeoSound 6 works with XP and iTunes (via a plug-in), which is refreshing.

It also says that you care—at least if money is being used as a measurement. It’s $600. Hey, if they can get that, then why not?

For that price, the company promises 40 hours of playback and 4GB, which holds about 1,000 songs. That doesn’t sound so great. It is real pretty though, and comes with a fancy leather case to keep it looking that way.
