B&O’s sound system is designed to integrate into the car’s interior.
Thinking back to those long family car rides, my father probably would have killed for a Bang & Olufsen system to drown out all of our whining.
B&O just announced that they will be providing optional sound systems for the new Audi A4 Avant. It outputs over 500 watts of power, with 14 loudspeakers and 10 amplifiers. It also boasts B&O’s proprietary True Image digital signal processing, which allows for two stereo signals to expand into 7.1-channel surround sound. That should be enough to drown out the barrage from the backseat.
Another kind-of-cool thing is that the system can be optimized according to the number of passengers and their position in the car. I would just have everything pointing at ME.
Bang & Olufsen’s sound system will be available on the Audio A4 Avant starting in November.
