ATC Debuts New Hi-Fi Passive SCM19 V2 Loudspeakers
The new speakers are designed for medium-size stereo and multi-channel applications.
Acoustic Transducer Company (ATC) is ending the week with a new speaker announcement. The company will start selling its new ATC’s Hi-Fi Passive SCM19 V2 Loudspeakers in the U.S. through Lone Mountain Audio.
Designed for medium-size stereo and multi-channel applications, the Hi-Fi Passive closed-box SCM19 boasts ATC’s SH25-76 25mm soft dome tweeter, updated 150mm bass/mid drivers and new crossovers, all housed in a funky curved cabinet.
That tweeter includes a dual suspension system that can suppress rocking modes even at high-output power levels. It also has a short edge-wound voice coil in a long, narrow magnetic gap for low distortion. Other features include a soft-domed diaphragm for a high-frequency range and smooth off-axis response, a 15,000 gauss (1.5 tesla) neodymium magnet on the tweeter, and a precision-machined 5.5mm rigid alloy waveguide.
Available in real cherry or black ash veneer ATC’s Hi-Fi Passive SCM19 V2 Loudspeakers will be shown at January’s CES, in the Venetian Tower. For more information on pricing and availability, contact Lone Mountain Audio.
