David Wiener Ventures’ Art.Engine blends in during the LA International Auto Show.
It’s not uncommon for people to refer high-end audio products or other luxury items as “the Ferrari of loudspeakers” or “the Ferrari of wristwatches” or something like that. Well, the Art.Engine from David Wiener Ventures (DWV) is as close as you’ll get to that analogy being true.
The Art.Engine digital stereo music system is all Ferrari in its design, colors and cost. Enough so that the system stood proudly among actual Ferraris at the recent Los Angeles International Auto Show as part of the Ferrari exhibit.
“Interest in the Art.Engine has increased dramatically as a result of its being featured in Ferrari’s exhibit at the LA Auto Show,” said DWV founder and CEO David Wiener. “For the first time, enthusiasts were able to see the system beside the Ferraris that inspired it — and their comments spoke to Art.Engine’s exceptional sound and staggering build quality.”
That quality is in the form of twin-speaker arrays, wireless signal input and digital electronics in a striking chassis that’s 47 inches tall, 16 inches wide and 6 inches deep. Ferrari elements include an engine start button, authentic colors, machined aluminum chassis, NACA cooling ducts, and carbon-fiber components.
Whether it’s in your garage parked next to your Testarossa or in your home office, one thing you’ll be able to do is hear all of your favorite PC files and streaming Internet stations thanks to its wireless capabilities.
Make no mistake about it—this screams Ferrari-like luxury to go with performance (even moreso than the gorgeous $3,000 Meridian/Ferrari teamed F80 entertainment unit). It’s Ferrari-licensed and costs $20,000. The luxury is pretty exclusive too: the product is in limited production of 1,000. Vroom vroom!
