The smoke has barely cleared from the CEDIA Expo. However, that’s not stopping Antelope Audio from gearing up for this year’s Rocky Mountain Audio Fest. The company is doing that by introducing—well, some new gear.

First up is the Zodiac Platinum DSD DAC. This component promises wide Direct-Stream Digital (DSD) support, which includes the 256 DSD mode and a PCM sample rate of 768kHz via a custom-built USB chip. That chip was designed by Antelope in an effort to reduce clock jitter, as well as stream with a sample rate that’s four times higher than what’s being offered by similar devices. Other features include a DSD upsampler, 64-bit Acoustically Focused Clocking, and the ultra-low jitter oven-controlled crystal oscillator. It also has a 10MHz input for Antelope’s 10M Rubidium atomic clock.

Antelope will also have the Rubicon Atomic AD/DA preamp at the show. The hook on this component is that it claims to be the first audiophile-grade preamp with an integrated 10M Rubidium atomic clock. Promising high-resolution DSD audio, the Rubicon has the 256 real DSD upsampler, Antelope’s 64-bit Acoustically Focused Clocking technology, and more.

The Rocky Mountain Audio Fest will be open to the public from October 11 through 13, at the Denver Marriott Tech Center. You can find out more about pricing and availability of Antelope Audio’s new products there or via the company’s website.
