Do you still listen to CDs? No? Oh right, more and more we’re listening to tunes stored on our computer, portable player or cell phone these days.

If you don’t want to plug those devices right into your stereo system, British loudspeaker manufacturer Acoustic Energy wants to make things easier if your device is Bluetooth enabled. The company has introduced its AE-29 Bluetooth Speaker to the U.S., featuring a pair of full-range speakers and a central receiver/amplifier.

The speakers themselves flank the receiver and can be separated up to six feet for broader dispersion. The AE-29 amplifier section doles out 20 watts of two-channel power to capably fill your room.

The receiver/amplifier uses the industry-standard A2DP Bluetooth audio streaming protocol, so you can enjoy your Bluetooth-enabled device’s music wirelessly. If you do need to plug in a non-wireless source, like an iPod, you can hook it in through the RCA inputs.

Look for the AE-29 in November for $219. Sounds like a prime holiday gift.
