Nothing irks a home theater purist more than a little light leaking into the room. That said, complete darkness isn’t always an option.
Sure, you could add a few home theater curtains, like we mentioned yesterday. Or, you could opt for a piece of equipment like Acer’s H6500 projector. Just announced, this DLP projector promises a full 1080p HD image even when the room has bright ambient light.
The H6500 comes packing an HDMI input, so you can squeeze out some killer 24fps 1080p video content up to 300 inches in almost any environment. Helping to deliver that image is 2,100 ANSI lumens, which can be dimmed to save power.
Other features include Acer’s eColor Boost II+ technology, a 10,000:1 contrast ratio, and a host of other connection options for composite, component, USB, and D-Sub, as well as a multiple-PC source input.
“The Acer H6500 projector is an excellent choice for the home with its ability to showcase Full HD 1080p video and superior color performance even in areas with bright ambient light,” said Chris White, Acer’s senior director of product marketing. “Home theater enthusiasts can now enjoy film quality viewing outdoors at night or indoors without having to close the shades or turn out all the lights. Plus, the projector is easy to set up and use and is earth-friendly, since the power consumption can be reduced up to 70 percent.”
Weighing in at just 5.6 pounds, the H6500 is easy to place and transport. It’s also available now, with an MSRP of $899.99.
