With the current economic recession, CE manufacturers are doing whatever they can to move boxes and sell products.

If you’ve got the cash in hand and are looking to upgrade or expand your system, now can be a great time to find deals on gear.

We’ve rounded up 5 of the best sites for finding deals on gadgets.

Ben’s Bargain’s
Ben’s Bargains offers links to deals in a number of categories, with a big focus on computer and technology gear.

The site, which recently celebrated its 9th anniversary, also hosts a number of “trackers” for newly introduced and popular products, including the Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and iPhones.

Woot
Woot is unlike most other deal sites; rather than tons of links to products across the Web, Woot offers one item at a time until the day ends or it sells out.

Some of the recent items up for sale include Energy bookshelf speakers, Philips Micro Hi-Fi System and a Family Guy DVD pack.

Every so often, the site has a Woot-Off, where they sell item after item when each deal sells out. Although they don’t announce exactly when or how long Woot-Offs last, generally they happen once or twice a month and for less than 72 hours.

While not every item they offer up is a gadget, the archive can be found in their community.

DealNews
DealNews offers more than 100 deals each day from more than 2000 online retailers in a number of categories, from electronics to computers to movies and music.

The site breaks down certain categories into their own sites, including dealmac (Apple products), dealcam (cameras and camcorders) and dealram (computer memory).

They’ve also launched a beta feature, Raw Deals, where users can submit and rate their own deal finds.

Slickdeals
Slickdeals is one of the biggest coupon and deal sites online, with an extremely active forum of deal finders and coupon hunters.

The tech category isn’t as expansive as some sites dedicated solely to gadgets, but searching for the products on your wish-list is sure to deliver something.

The forums also offer a place to “Help Me Find a Deal,” where you can ask the community to show you deals you may not be able to find yourself.

FatWallet
Like most of the other sites, FatWallet offers coupons, deal links and an active forum.

Deals are rated by users (see the computers & electronics hot deals) with the option to filter by Coupons, Mail in Rebates, Refurbished, and more.

FatWallet also offers “Cash Back” when you purchase through selected stores where they receive a commission. Participating stores include the Apple Store, Buy.com, Wal-Mart and Newegg.
