Polk’s new OWM5 speaker promises nine different install options.
There’s a slew of speakers out there that can handle every type of application. Now Polk wants to provide a solution for nine of your favorite scenarios with its OWM5.
Designed for use in home theater, gaming or other audio setups, the OWM5 promises killer Polk sound in a unit that can sit on the floor or mount to a wall—in a 2.1, 5.1 or 7.1 configuration. You can also flip the unit to fit your mood, because it works horizontally and vertically.
Inside, the OWM5 has two 4.5mm mid-bass drivers and a 1-inch soft-dome tweeter.
“Our dealers have been asking us for a solution like this, because in today’s homes, consumers expect to have great sound everywhere—it’s a given,” says Mark Suskind, Polk’s VP of Product Line Management.
In case you can’t wait, Polk already has the OWM3, which boasts seven different install options. Otherwise, expect the OWM5 to hit in March, for $199 each.
