Judging from the hype-type in the press release, these should be some of Polk’s most awesome speakers yet.

Debuting at this week’s CEDIA Expo, the new LSiM speaker line is said to be a “tour-de-force,” using the company’s “most advanced engineering to date.”

Ok, well, the new line includes everything—towers, bookshelf, surrounds and centers.

The majordomos in the line are the two tower speakers, the LSiM 707 and LSiM 705. Both feature newly-designed transducers equipped with a Polk technology called Dynamic Balance, which is designed for low distortion.

Polk’s Dynamic Sonic Engine enclosure is a single-molded component housing both a 3.25-inch mid-range driver and a 1-inch isotropic ring radiator tweeter. Polk says the combined array offers a uniform dispersion pattern.

The model 707 adds a 6.5-inch woofer and two 6-by-9-inch subwoofers. The model 705 uses a 5.25-inch mid-range woofer and 5-by-7-inch built-in subwoofers. All the models of the LSiM line have Polk’s Super Cell Aerated polypropylene cones. The driver baskets are manufactured from cast aluminum frames.
