There are plenty of companies wanting to provide you with cloud services. However, why should you trust that content to someone else? Pogoplug Mobile wants to cut out that middleman.

Pogoplug Mobile puts your entire digital collection wherever you want it—at least on most smartphones or tablets. There’s no need to worry about recurring fees or storage limits, because you are the keeper of all of the content. Everything lives on your home computer or other storage device and is streamed through the connected Pogoplug Mobile hardware.

Once the system is set up, all of your available content can be seen and accessed through the My Pogoplug website or via the Pogoplug app for iPad, iPhone and Android.

Another nice bonus is that when you’re on the go, you can perform backup tasks. Take a few fun pics with your iPhone? You can instantly send them to back the Pogoplug at home for safekeeping. The apps even feature automatic backup options.

Pogoplug Mobile features one USB port and an SD card slot so you can add on more storage.

The Pogoplug Mobile is available now. The apps are free, but the hardware will cost you a one-time fee of $79.99.
