Game geeks are buzzing around the Internet—the PlayStation Store is now available to PC users, ready to snatch Christmas club funds faster than you can say “Grinch.”
Sony says (via eHomeUpgrade) the service is free, which basically means you might get a few previews, but the idea is to suck you into promotional videos and trailers so you’ll purchase games for the PSP. Not too bad though; the big hook is that PlayStation Portable (PSP) users no longer need a PS3 to get the goodies. That’s something!
There are a bunch of classic games on there for $5.99 each. However, we only saw two new titles being offered ($9.99 to $14.99). Expect more to come soon. Add-on game titles and themes are also on hand so you can pimp your PSP.
