Planar Offers Full HD 1080p LCDs from 37 to 52 inches
Planar's complete line of LCD HDTVs includes 1080p resolution on all models and elegant diamond-polished black lacquer aluminum bezels.
March 26, 2008 | by Arlen Schweiger

With Full HD 1080p resolution making its way into more and more TVs, chances are we’ll be seeing it in an even broader range of screen sizes.

Planar recently showed off its newest line of 1080p LCD flat-panel TVs, which feature the Full HD resolution in screen sizes from 37 inches to 52 inches.

The company’s 37-inch PD370, 42-inch PD420, 47-inch PD470 and 52-inch PD520 all look great with diamond-polished black lacquer anodized aluminum bezels, and have the functions and features to follow the elegant form factor.

Along with support for signal formats from 480i to 1080p, the video processing uses Faroudja DCDi to ensure a top-notch picture. There are integrated SRS speakers, plus IR windows in the front and rear.

MSRPs on the four models, which are now shipping to authorized Planar home theater dealers, are $2,299, $2,999, $3,999 and $6,999 respectively.
