Pioneer’s HTS-LX70 Flat-Panel Theater System
We’ve seen plenty of home theater in a box (HTIB) systems over the years. The HTS-LX70 from Pioneer is part of its Elite line of products, and certainly seems to be one of a kind.
The HTS-LX70 Flat-Panel Theater System, with an MSRP of $1,800, features a receiver subwoofer that has all the built-in decoders—Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Digital, DTS HD High-Resolution, DTS HD-Master Audio, DTS-96/24 and DTS-ES.
There are also 13 surround modes, which could be fun to play with in this speaker setup that includes four multidirectional satellite surrounds to go with the sub.
The receiver subwoofer is XM and Sirius satellite ready, has 30 presets for AM/FM tuning, and three inputs and one output for HDMI 1.3a connections. That’ll work for your Pioneer Elite Blu-ray player, which, from what Pioneer’s website says, does not actually come in this package despite making it into the photo.
For added flair, the included remote has an illuminated LCD touchpanel for easy operation.
