It’s amplifier Friday! Well, maybe. Earlier today, we told you about NuForce’s new amp offering. Now it’s time to highlight the Pioneer A-20.

The company’s new analog-only amplifier was developed with the 2-channel music enthusiast in mind. It has six audio inputs and works nicely with the likes of Pioneer’s Elite networked audio players, the N-30 or the N-50.

Featuring a Direct Energy design, shorter signal paths and power train to minimize signal loss, the A-20 boasts a strategically placed power supply/output circuit to produce cleaner audio output with reduced total harmonic distortion of less than 0.05 percent.

Designed to work with everything from digital formats to vinyl records, the A-20 has phono, tuner, SACD/CD, AUX and network recorder inputs. It also has a Auto Power Down feature and its own remote control.

“We’ve seen a recent resurgence in 2-channel audio and a movement towards bringing back music to its pure stereo form,” said Chris Walker, director of AV marketing and product planning for Pioneer’s Home Electronics Division. “With its superior build and design elements, the A-20 is able to maintain the fidelity of the original audio and provide users with exceptional sound quality and a comprehensive music experience.”

Pioneer is selling the A-20 integrated amplifier now, with an MSRP of $300.
