Before the iPhone 5, there were a slew of companies making products designed to work with your iOS devices. That 30-pin connector became part of portable speakers, as well as home automation systems, home theater systems, and other add-ons. Then, the iPhone 5 came along with Lightning and threw a wrench into the entire accessories market.
Now a company named PhotoFast wants to make all of your iOS-capable devices work together in harmony. The company just announced the Lightning Mount, which allows you to use the iPhone 5 with all of your older docks and home control devices.
It’s a nice, affordable solution—and certainly more affordable than replacing an entire Apple-based home control system.
The company also released the Ultra Dock 2 for charging up to three gadgets at once, whether you have a 30-pin product or a little something with a Lightning tip. This option is designed to be a bit of a charging hub, where you can cut down on cable clutter of your Apple devices from the past and present—good for family who use all iOS devices.
“Five million iPhone 5 models were sold within the initial days of its launch, leaving countless consumers facing the dilemma of how to integrate their new smartphone with their favorite mobile accessories without breaking the bank,” says PhotoFast CEO Warren Wang. “The Lightning Mount and Ultra Dock 2 help users save money and streamline their lightning tip connected products into everyday life. We’re thrilled to offer consumers a simple solution to a common problem.”
Available in black and white, the Lightning Mount is available now for a mere $29.99. PhotoFast’s Ultra Dock 2 is priced at $79.99.
