You know it’s a true sign that warm weather is on its way once manufacturers start crowing about outdoor speakers. There’s just something about that elevated temperature that makes you want to share your favorite songs with Mother Nature. Combine anything in Phoenix Gold’s ATO42/52/62 speaker series with a barbecue hat, and it’s easy to calm your inner-summer, savage beast.

Each of the three models is a 2-way, weather-resistant speaker. All units include a 1-inch aluminum dome tweeter and an aluminum grill. Other highlights include low-diffraction housing and a talc-filled polypropylene woofer to match each unit’s size and power handling.

“This series has been designed to provide the ruggedness required to handle the elements while at the same time strong enough to handle the power from today’s high output receivers and amplifiers…and sounding great no matter where they are installed,” said Stewart Millager, director of engineering.

Phoenix Gold’s ATO42 (4-inch) has a MSRP of $169.99, the ATO52 (5.25-inch) has a MSRP of $179.99, and the ATO62 (6.5-inch) has a MSRP of $219.99. Each one is available in black or white.
