Welcome to the 3D party, Philips!

There were almost too many 3D-capable TV product introductions at CES to count, and now we’re starting to see some launch dates come rolling in.

It looks like Philips, which didn’t have any such announcements at CES, will be entering the fray come this summer with 3D-ready TVs for you and your active shutter LCD glasses, according to Pocket Lint.

The 3D-ready models will include such a version of Philips’ already intriguing Cinema Series 21:9 TV that takes advantage of viewers’ requests to watch super-wide movies without having black bars on the bottom and top of the screen. That should be sweet paired with a 3D Blu-ray player when Avatar arrives on high-def disc.

Other lineups to get the 3D treatment will be the 9000 and 8000 series. That’ll cover 32-, 42- and 46-inch sets in the 9000s, and 37-, 42-, 46- and 52-inch models in the 8000s.

In case you were wondering, the 21:9 set is a 56-incher, and we’re guessing even the non-3D stuff looks pretty sweet on it.
