The new Philips 42-inch high-def FlatTV features the company’s award-winning Ambilight Full Surround technology, and 1080p resolution. The Full Surround Ambilight FlatTV features illumination from all four sides of the screen, onto a built-in canvas allowing the display to be placed on a stand or hung on the darkest wall.
Philips also says that they’ve conducted research to proof that Ambilight is easier on your peepers, which is good on a day where your eyes want to be glued to every second of the action.
Other features include a 170-degree viewing angle, a 120Hz refresh rate, two HDMI ports, a USB port, a memory card reader and picture-in-picture features.
The 42PFL9832D was also recently honored with a 2007 CEA Innovations award.
