Once again, thin is in—and we’re not talking about TVs. Phase Technology has just introduced a super-thin soundbar, known as the Teatro TSB3.0.
Measuring 43 inches wide, the Teatro TSB3.0 has an aluminum, ported, mono-frame cabinet and a curved profile with a depth of 1.5 inches where it meets the TV. (The total center depth is 2.5 inches).
Inside, the unit has left, right and center channels paired with two SFE Spatial Field Expanders for a wide and enveloping front stage. It has two 3-inch mineral filled polypropylene, ultra-long throw woofers with rubber surrounds per channel and a 0.75-inch silk/synthetic blend soft dome tweeter per channel. The SFE 1-inch inverted aluminum drivers are mounted on the sides.
Because it has an 8-ohm design, the soundbar can be paired with almost any type of AV equipment. Other features include EVT Enhanced Voice Technology on a front-panel switch, Phase Technology’s Absolute Phase crossover network, and both tabletop and wall-mount options.
“Our new soundbar produces the dynamic, spacious sound of traditional home theater speakers in an ultra-thin design,” said Ken Hecht, MSE Audio VP of R&D. “With its Spatial Field Expanders and attractive brushed aluminum cabinet, the TSB3.0’s looks and performance will greatly increase any flat panel TV experience.”
Phase Technology is shipping the Teatro TSB3.0 now, with an MSRP of $738.
