Lighting products is an electronics category that many consumers look to for some energy savings as well. Toward that end, Permlight Products has introduced a new series of Enbryten recessed down light trims for use in general and task lighting.

The ENBC4F 4-inch Fixed LED Recessed Downlight series consumes only 5 watts with equivalent light output to a 25 watt incandescent bulb, the company says. Permlight’s recessed down light trims include a built-in converter for direct 120V line voltage operation that simplifies and reduces installation costs as well, the company adds.

MSRP for the ENBC4F is approximately $95 in low volumes.

The ENBC4F Series features Warm White (approximately 3500 Kelvin) or Cool White (approximately 4800 Kelvin) LEDs from Nichia of Japan, and offers an expected lifetime of 20 years in home environments, says Permlight.

The product also features patented and patent-pending technology that allows it to be dimmed with off-the-shelf electronic low voltage 3-wire dimmers and modular technology, affording the LED modules to be changed or replaced easily, the company says. For California residents, Permlight adds, the ENBC4F can be used to meet the state’s Title 24 high-efficacy requirements.

I am not really sure if best practices have emerged around things like that, but I am sure that your great job is clearly identified. I was wondering if you offer any subscription to your RSS feeds as I would be very interested and can’t find any link to subscribe here.
