Mounts are typically an afterthought. Sorry, mount manufacturers — it’s true. That said, Peerless-AV is looking to make the mount a little more of a must-have, with its new PeerAir Integrated Wireless Mounting Solutions.
See, this new line of indoor and outdoor mounts doesn’t just prop up your AV essentials. Each one can actually stream full 1080p HD content from the source transmitter to any flat-panel screens or projectors up to 131 feet away.
Our own Grant Clauser reviewed the Peerless HD Flow last summer. The PeerAir line sounds like the company may have built that product into a series of mounting solutions.
The end result means you’ll have more installation possibilities than ever before, without having to run additional cable. Once it’s installed, all you’ll need to do is plug a single extension cord into an existing electrical outlet.
The PeerAir line includes both indoor and outdoor models, with wireless articulating arms and tilt wall mounts, a mobile cart, and a wireless projector mount. Other features include reverse IR to control content devices remotely, multi-casting to stream up to four screens or projectors from a single transmitter, and WPA2 security protocols.
PeerAir Wireless Mounting Solutions are available in models that can accommodate screen sizes from 37 to 65 inches, or projectors weighing up to 50 pounds. The outdoor models are weather-resistant and work in almost any outdoor scenario.
If you already have a Peerless mount, the company also offers Wireless Integration Kits that can convert almost any Peerless-AV universal wall or ceiling mount, cart or stand into a wireless mounting solution. Wireless Integration Modules and the HD Flow Wireless Multimedia Kit are also available.
