PCS Pushes Out Touchscreen
The creators of UPB have released the TouchScreen Timer for their PulseWorx line.
June 12, 2008 | by Rachel Cericola

Home control companies are making plenty to play with these days. PCS is throwing another entry in for your system—the TST TouchScreen Timer.

PCS (also known as Powerline Control Systems) invented this 3.6-inch touchpanel to work with their PulseWorx line, as well as other UPB (universal powerline bus) products. Once connected to the company’s PIM-R Powerline Interface, the unit will control up to 250 different lights, or you can trigger custom scenes.

The graphical interface allows for management of Room, Module, Scene and Schedule buttons to create personal displays. TouchUP will create up to 99 schedules, which will automatically control any UPB device or scene at pre-set times and/or days.

“With the growth in touchscreen popularity and lighting control awareness, we felt that a touchscreen interface was needed at an extremely affordable price.” said Scott Klodowski, director of sales and marketing for PCS. “In essence, the TST gives you a very customizable timer controller for less than $750 to control PulseWorx lighting controls and other types of systems via UPB.”

The TST TouchScreen Timer can be wall-mounted in a standard 2-gang electrical box. There’s also a tabletop version available.
