Paradigm’s SIG-1.5R-30 in-ceiling speaker
Paradigm doesn’t just slap the Signature Series label on any of its products. So you can be sure that the new in-ceiling models it’s added to the Signature roster sound pretty darn sharp for that type of speaker.
Ceiling models have been impoving steadily in quality over the past several years. Paradigm’s latest, the SIG-1.5R and SIG1.5R-30 borrow technology used in the latest freestanding Signature models to further enhance that in-ceiling sound.
That includes using P-Be Pure-Beryllium domes and Co-PAL Cobalt-Infused Anodized Pure-Aluminum cones in its configurations, with benefits such as increasing the speakers’ rigidity. Paradigm also used its Guided Soundfield system to focus the sound on a particular area and reduce uneven sound dispersion in the room.
Close your eyes and you’ll think you’re hearing floorstanding speakers right in front of you. The speakers run $1,200 a pair for the SIG-1.5R and $700 each for SIG-1.5R-30.
