Paradigm’s PDR-8 and PDR-10 subwoofers
There’s the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” school of thought, and then there’s the “let’s take what we’ve made great and make it better” school. Canadian loudspeaker manufacturer Paradigm is in the latter group.
The company has introduced its fourth generation of PDR subwoofers, focusing on design improvements and more features to enhance the already solid bass.
The PDR-8 and PDR-10 models have new reinforced polymer-composite cones on the 8-inch and 10-inch single forward-firing drivers, respectively, to increase rigidity and internal damping.
Two RCA (L/R-Mono) line-level inputs were also added to allow for L/R line or Sub-Outputs plus LFE-Outputs for receivers, processors and other sources. Both models now offer Auto-On/Off, as well as a sub/sat phase alignment switch for 0 degrees or 180 degrees.
Aesthetically, the updated PDR series has new curvy edges for a sleeker, more contemporary look, and grilles are now removable; both models come in black or silver.

New look looks ugly.. they should stuck with if it aint broke dont fix it philosophy
