This big boy is large and in charge—of all of your free time, anyway.
Panasonic just unveiled another 103-inch plasma to make you feel inferior about your current entertainment setup. Engadget says that the TH-103PZ800 is a beast that can command all of your video needs, via four HDMI jacks, an Ethernet port and an array of other hookups. Tech specs include Deep Color and x.v.Color support, a 10,000:1 contrast ratio, various tuners, and Panasonic’s own VIERA Link technology. It also has an SD card slot.
Although Panasonic’s previous girthy models appeared to be all business, this one looks ready for home use—for those homes that have around $50K to spend on a TV, that is. Also make room in that budget for a set of speakers, because AV Watch says the unit doesn’t come with them.
Another thing to make you feel bad: It’s only available in Japan. It will start shipping in September.

chickenman is right. However, this is a new model… and supposedly it’s not a “pro” unit.
joemama127,
The panasonic 103” is available to the US market and has been for the past 2 years…www.panasonic.com/proplasma
I find the last part of the article “only available in Japan” very surprising. I have heard that the Japanese actually prefer 42” and smaller plasma/lcd’s because of the lack of space in the average home there. Having visited Japan back in the early 90’s I find this to be true. Why wouldn’t they open up the market to all the rappers/movie stars in not only the US but also Europe…..who not only have the money to be flashy but also giant homes to put them in.

At this time, Panasonic’s 103” TH-103PZ800 Plasma TV is still not available stateside.
It’s 103” TH-103PF10 version, however, is, and it’s a beaut as well. A sixteen page pdf brochure outlining its various benefits is available here… http://highrollertoys.info/2009/12/16-page-pdf-brochure/.
That site also offers it for purchase (for around $42,000) for those who are interested.
