As if pictures of your friends, family and favorite pets weren’t enough; Panasonic is about to give your loved ones a soundtrack.
However, the new MW-20 digital picture frame doesn’t just add that tinny sound that oh-so-many-other frames have had in the past. Instead, the company is going to double your pleasure, by adding in an iPod dock and stereo sound.
Well, that sound won’t exactly blow the hair off your head, but the unit is packing a 5.6-mm Super Slim Semi Dome Speaker, a diffuser for optimizing sound, and built-in DSP (Digital Signal Processor).
When you have that device docked, the MW-20 can tap into all of the content stored on your iPhone and iPod touch. Yes—all of it. Of course, it does music. However, it can also show stored videos or photos right on the frame’s 9-inch screen. The dock can also charge your chosen device for later.
Other features include an Adjustable Angle Display, a LUMIX Scene Mode Playback function, a memory card slot, 2GB of built-in storage, and a power-saving function.
The MW-20 just might rejuvenate the digital frame as the go-to holiday gift this year. It will be available just in time for last minute shopping, in late November. Expect it to retail for around $249.95.
