Panasonic’s DMP-B15 will make Blu-ray portable starting this May.
You’ve jumped on the Blu-ray bandwagon, but can’t seem to let go of those standard-def discs. A good reason might be the other DVD players in your house—or the car. Now Panasonic says you can hit the highway with the DMP-B15.
This portable unit provides anywhere access to the magic you are slowing getting addicted to at home. The 8.9-inch unit even takes it one step further, adding VIERA CAST Internet accessibility and BD Live functionality. In case you aren’t familiar with VIERA CAST, this application should give you additional access to Amazon Video-on-Demand, as well as YouTube, Google Picasa, Bloomberg, and other web content. Unless you’ve got web access in the car, it might not do you much good, but it’s a nice in-house bonus.
Other features include PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus processing technology, an SD card slot, and a 3-hour rechargeable battery.
Better start saving; it will be out in May and Panasonic told us it’s going to cost in the $800 range.
