Panasonic Looking for 30 Families to Experience ‘Living in HD’
Panasonic and a Hollywood team of judges will select winning entries to use $20K worth of electronics and have their lives chronicled in HD.
August 03, 2007 | by Rebecca Day

It’s a little like winning the lottery. Panasonic has launched its Living in HD program and is looking for 30 families across the country to use a palette of high-definition electronics gear to explore how the latest HD technology affects the American lifestyle.

The selected families will capture and share their lives using Panasonic camcorders, cameras, Toughbook computers, and plasma TVs. The product menu, with a retail value of more than $20,000, also includes a Blu-ray Disc player, surround-sound speaker system, A/V receiver, a powerline Ethernet adaptor and a network camera that record to SD card.

The program is being run in association with researchers from the Center for Urban Research and Policy at Columbia University to explore how high-definition TV and video technologies can enrich the American lifestyle. Consumers who want to be selected for the program can register at www.livinginhd.com where they’ll be asked what they would create in high definition and why they want to chronicle their lives in HD.

Be creative. Judges, including Hollywood producer/directors Brett Ratner and Kevin Smith, will select families based on their creative submissions and other criteria.

CLICK HERE TO ENTER - Entries must be submitted by Aug. 31. Selections will take place between now and March 2008. Good luck!

We are a retired couple living in MA near Boston. I am into gadgetry of all types, but am not an early adopter. I have an engineering background
