New line features powerful processors, security features and pretty decent battery power.

Forget other laptops. Them’s for sissies! Panasonic has announced the Toughbook line—and the models are stronger than Samsonite.

Guaranteed to withstand drops, shocks, vibrations and extreme temperatures, the CF-30 clamshell unit and the CF-19 convertible tablet PC each boasts six hours of battery life and Intel Core Duo processors.

The CF-19 features a bright 550 Nit screen; the CF-30 has a 1,000 Nit LCD, which is supposedly the brightest in the biz. Each also supports wireless options aplenty, such as WLAN, WWAN, GPS and Bluetooth.

Both units will be available in December. Check out a few other tasty tidbits about each model below, or get all of the details on Panasonic’s Web site.
