Instead of just replacing your DVD player with high-def, Panasonic wants to give you an entire new setup with the SC-BT100.
The home-theater-in-a-box is Panasonic’s first to incorporate a Blu-ray player. It also has some other neat features, including an iPod dock, and an SD card slot. Talk about covering your bases. Throw in a few video games, and we’d never leave the house.
The SC-BT100 has 5.1 sound, but the company says you can easily purchase two side speakers and a transceiver to made it a 7.1 setup. Everything is nice and wireless, so you don’t have to worry about wiring clutter.
It sounds very cool, but we’d be a lot more excited if there was a price to go with the announcement. Expect the SC-BT100 to drop this May.
