Thanks to digital video recording, you are no longer a slave to any TV schedule. Now how about cutting the ties that bind you to that couch?

Panasonic just announced a joint partnership with http://www.comcast.com” title=“Comcast”>Comcast, the AnyPlay Portable DVR. The name pretty much says it all, allowing Comcast customers to load up their TV content and take it anywhere.

Powered by tru2way technology, the AnyPlay P-DVR Model TZ-LC100 packs in a DVD/CD player and 60GB of digital video recording. There’s no high-def, but there’s also no waiting because the unit has an 8.5-inch flip-up LCD screen and speakers.

The P-DVR is expected to be available in early 2009.
