Outlaw Audio’s Outlaw LCR, in black finish and center channel position
For renegade audiophiles who prefer the Internet-only direct-to-consumer type of purchasing, Outlaw Audio is such a company and it’s come out with its Outlaw LCR to outfit the front channels of your home theater setup.
The speaker is the first to feature the company’s proprietary MCO (main/center optimization) selectable crossover technology, so you can optimize its acoustic radiation pattern as either a left/right speaker or a ccenter channel (in the center’s common horizontal position).
The Outlaw LCR has two 5.25-inch SEAS woofers flanking a 1-inch ferrofluid-cooled soft-dome tweeter, which, combined with the crossover flexibility gives the speaker solid performance in home theater and music applications.
It comes in hand-painted black finish ($649 each) or optional book-matched cherry veneer ($699 each), with a perforated metal grille. You’ll have to go to Outlaw’s website to order, www.outlawaudio.com.
