The Fountain Speaker includes two underwater halogen lights in the unit’s bowl.
There are outdoor speakers that rock, outdoor speakers that look like a rock, and outdoor speakers that pull double duty.
StereoStone‘s Fountain Speaker is a 250-watt, 8-inch dual voice coil speaker wrapped in a water fountain. Don’t expect to cool off on a hot day with a sip of cool refreshment, or even frolic through water spraying. This piece is more decorative.
“The Fountain Speaker has a wrought iron-look enclosed cage that acts like a stand with a bird bath-type bowl for collecting the running water underneath a center that resembles a leafed pineapple,” says Alan Rottner, vice president of sales & marketing for StereoStone. “The water will run up and then over and down the petals of the pineapple leaves and into the collecting bowl at the bottom. For evening viewing, the Fountain Speaker also includes submersible low-voltage lighting as well as lighting below in the wrought-iron-look cage/stand.”
Other highlights include a 91dB sensitivity rating and two underwater halogen lights in the unit’s bowl.
The speaker is ready to rock right out of the box; the pump and lighting just need standard 120-volt outlets.
It looks like the Fountain Speaker will bring showers starting in April; the MSRP is $599.95.
