In a few weeks, manufacturers will be at the CEDIA Expo in Denver, showing off the latest and greatest in high-end audio and video. One of the companies that will be at the show is OSD Audio, with its newly announced Black Series.
The Black Series is a new line of architectural speakers that will have a total of 18 models, including ceiling, wall, LCR, and dual-tweeter units for both single-point stereo and surround applications.
There will also be three performance levels across the line, meaning that you should be able to find something to suit your specific needs. Each one boasts upgraded driver sets with silk and ceramic-coated dome tweeters, as well as graphite and carbon fiber woofers.
However, each of these speakers is also quite stylish, with edgeless, super-slim grilles. Black Series options will include three woofer/footprint-size speakers in round, square and rectangle shapes in 5-, 6- and 8-inch models. (Square grille kits are also available for all speaker sizes.)
“The Black Series is a triumph for music and movie lovers who crave high-fidelity audio while insisting on design excellence inside and out,” says Doug Turner, OSD Audio’s VP of sales. “The fact that OSD Black speakers will be available exclusively through select dealers and distributors reaffirms our commitment to our industry partners, and the remarkable value they add to the high performance speaker category.”
OSD plans to release more detailed information closer to CEDIA 2014. However, we can expect the company to sell the Black Series through select distributors and dealers starting sometime in Q4 2014.
